We make nature audible
Ljómi Systems (pronounced “LYOH-mee”) is a UK-based technology company that builds systems for transforming natural visual phenomena into real-time generative music.
We started with the aurora borealis — capturing its colours, movements, and wave patterns through computer vision and translating them into MIDI data that musicians can shape and perform with. From there, we expanded into forests, urban scenes, and any environment where movement can become music.
Our tools are built for artists, musicians, tour operators, and anyone who believes that the natural world has a soundtrack waiting to be heard.

We don't simulate nature — we listen to it. Every system we build starts with real phenomena and real data.
Creative tools, not toys
Our products output standard MIDI. They fit into existing workflows — DAWs, modular synths, live rigs — without requiring you to learn a new ecosystem.
