Ljómi Systems (pronounced “LYOH-mee”) is a UK-based technology company that builds systems for transforming natural visual phenomena into real-time generative music.
We started with the aurora borealis. Computer vision captures its colours, movements and wave patterns, and translates them into MIDI that musicians can shape and perform with. From there we expanded into forests, urban scenes, and any environment where movement can become music.
Our tools are built for artists, musicians, tour operators, and anyone who thinks the natural world has a soundtrack worth hearing.

Our products output standard MIDI. They fit the workflow you already have, whether that is a DAW, a modular synth or a live rig, and you never have to learn a new ecosystem.
